French Foreign Ministry: Lavrov confirmed the Russian Federation’s consent to the IAEA mission at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant

Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Catherine Colonna, and Russia Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, held a telephone conversation primarily regarding the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, seized by the Russian invaders.

The head of the French Foreign Ministry emphasized the risks that the occupation of Zaporizhzhia NPP by the Russian forces had created for nuclear safety and expressed her support for the rapid deployment of the IAEA mission.
